We laugh, we cry, we hurt for them. The author manages to convey feelings that touch and overwhelm us. This book is full of resilience and made me want to get to know the rest of this atypical family.

The biker world is completely foreign to me, so I dove into this story not knowing what to expect. And what a pleasant surprise... I loved it!
A tension builds from the very first moments between Izy and Caleb; she discovers a closed world, yet so welcoming to those who manage to become a part of it, this unwavering loyalty among the members of this tight-knit community, no matter what.
Isabela is searching for her place in the world, Caleb is a raw nerve who only wants to love, and Joshua is a truly adorable and terribly touching little one. I also really liked Mary's gentleness, Big D's paternal bear-like role, the specificities of each biker, and the brotherhood among the Road Warriors that expects nothing, that is just there, a rock, an obvious fact.
There's a hushed ambiance, an atmosphere smelling of tobacco, leather, and whiskey, a contained then explosive alchemy, friendships as strong as a real family.
But beyond that, there's also danger, violence, excesses, a power struggle. I confess I shed tears, because some scenes are difficult...
But the story is magnificent, and Painter raises the already hot temperature in Arizona 🔥

Oh, how I love biker romances like this one! I dove into this MC with my eyes closed. It's a true family, united and always there for each other.
As for the romance, wow! Please, Caleb, what a man! He's completely honest with her from the start. He doesn't want to make empty promises, but rather prove things through actions, and you can't imagine how incredible that is.
I find that things happened naturally and, above all, healthily.
And Isabela! She's an incredible woman. She has great sensitivity but also a fiery character and doesn't let anyone walk all over her. And that's what I love to see in a protagonist.
While the story starts slowly, at a certain point, the suspense, action, and plot twists take over, and I didn't even notice the pages turning because I was so engrossed in what was going to happen.
You can't imagine how much I want to see them again! And of course, I can't wait to see if there will be a sequel or a spin-off. - A marvel!
